Ingredients :

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 teaspoons prepared Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions :

  • Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup water, and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add Brussels sprouts, and cook until tender. Strain, reserving chicken broth, and place Brussels sprouts in a warm serving dish.
  • Return chicken broth to stove, stir in mustard and lemon juice, and return to boil. Add cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Pour over Brussels sprouts to serve.

Ingredients :

  • 1 (10 ons) adonan biskuit dapat didinginkan
  • 2 sendok makan margarin, meleleh
  • 1/2 cangkir gula merah muda yang dikemas
  • 1 sendok teh bubuk kayu manis
  • 2 sendok makan sirup jagung gelap
  • 1/4 cangkir pecan cincang

Instructions :

Prep : 10M Cook : 12M Ready in : 20M
  • Potong setiap biskuit menjadi dua dan bentuk setiap bagian menjadi bola.
  • Campurkan gula, kayu manis dan pecan dalam mangkuk kecil. Celupkan setengah biskuit ke dalam margarin, kemudian ke dalam campuran gula. Tempatkan dalam loyang kue 8 inci yang dilumuri minyak. Campur sisa margarin dan gula serta sendokkan bola biskuit. Sirup jagung sirup di atas semua.
  • Panggang pada 450 derajat F (230 derajat C) selama 10-12 menit. Sajikan hangat.

"A wonderful old-fashioned baked bean flavor. This recipe has served by family for 29 years and originally came from my mother-in-law. It tastes great served with fresh cornbread or biscuits and honey. Although you need to allow time for soaking and simmering the beans, this recipe is still quite easy."

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups navy beans
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions :

Prep : 30M Cook : 6M Ready in : 5H
  • Soak beans overnight in cold water. Simmer the beans in the same water until tender, approximately 1 to 2 hours. Drain and reserve the liquid.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Arrange the beans in a 2 quart bean pot or casserole dish by placing a portion of the beans in the bottom of dish, and layering them with bacon and onion.
  • In a saucepan, combine molasses, salt, pepper, dry mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and pour over beans. Pour in just enough of the reserved bean water to cover the beans. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 3 to 4 hours in the preheated oven, until beans are tender. Remove the lid about halfway through cooking, and add more liquid if necessary to prevent the beans from getting too dry.
